malaysian (homemade/partly homemade) food



sushi: made by me,later repaired by mom
..made from a sushi kit bought in russia..gmi and shuk used to make it(sedap plak tu). the ingredients were a bit unorthodox as i put my morning sausages into them (well including some cucumber)
kakak noni tak sempat makan,tapi adik pun tak mkn byk-hehe..tak jadik sgt









my breakfast- err,sometimes.usually it's sandwiches, nasi lemak etc.still these are the foodstuffs i wont get for at least another 10 months- sausages(with cheese fillings), keropok lekor& sos cili, hash browns

















sambal sotong- one of many of mom's cookings..it's just one example,but i'll miss them all

memang die suke dari dulu..betul tak?








i thank God for a loving family and another chance for me to taste these great food before i go back to Russia. InsyaAllah i'll be back for more,hehe

(these were those few times when i managed to get a photo before my mind stops thinking and the eating instinct takes over )

OMG i have never heard of 'sambal tempoyak and cheese' being mixed/put in one dish. is it edible? (of course la. how can your sister suke, right?)

hey, i wanna try! do you have a special recipe for the sambal tempoyak or how?

hehe "recipe org mude" said my mother. the whole family likes it.when we were little we used to put tomato sauce,soy sauce & cheese on the bread and microwave, but this is much better (sambal tempoyak+cheese+a slice of bread+grill)

i guess any sambal tempoyak masak will do, but here's the recipe anyway:
bahan A- tempoyak 3-4 sudu,add ikan bilis,cili padi 15/20 biji yg ditumbuk,kunyit,garam, gula sikit ikut rasa,air nak cairkan tempoyak dalam 1 1/2 cawan
-potong bawang besar,tumis dgn minyak n tambah bhn A.masak smpi kering sikit

dont forget to put it on the toast, add cheese and grill(with the microwave)!hehe.dont be afraid,you'll be the one biting for more!salam back

sedap ke sushi actually? tried some years ago at sushi king. taste weird. thats the first and last. takleh bayangkan pulut cicah kicap (basic sushi kan?) peculiar.

really? my housemate from pulai chondong(nama dirahsiakan secara umum utk menjaga privacy sikit2) here is crazy for sushi..he was the one who introduced it to me!
in volgo (i think so recently) the sushi here are quite expensive..but i seldom eat them anyway..
pulut ke tu?hmm..but the seaweed paper(?)'s tasty(yup, you can tell i dont know what i put in my mouth)
